Rohde & Schwarz Topex announces its presence for the seventh consecutive year at World ATM Congress in Madrid, the world’s largest international air traffic management (ATM) exhibition and conference, between 12th and 14th of March.
“We are very excited to be attending again World ATM Congress, the most prestigious event in our business area, always being a great experience for us to meet the leading professionals in the industry,” said Mr. Alexandru Negulescu, Managing Director at Rohde & Schwarz Topex. “Every year we are keen on sharing our newest solutions with our customers and learn from them about the future industry trends. Our core messages for this year event are centered on reliability, security and innovation.”, added Mr. Negulescu.
The company`s presence at World ATM Congress consists not only in showcasing its developments but also in two presentations sustained at the Aireon Spotlight Stage.
“Enhanced situational awareness – a holistic approach to simultaneous call transmission” will be sustained on 12th of March at 10:40 by Aureliu Martin, Business Development Manager Rohde & Schwarz Topex.
Anticipated air traffic movements growth and other impactful industry trends like trajectory optimization pose new challenges for the air traffic control systems. Access to Control Centers voice services and implicitly to the radio channels in a highly congested environment, potentially leads to more simultaneous call transmissions events. Latest technology evolutions allowed the implementation of advanced algorithms for providing enhanced situational awareness at the air traffic controller integrated position. Reliable and innovative technologies throughout the Rohde & Schwarz portfolio for identifying, analyzing and presenting the simultaneous call transmission events, enable the optimization of controllers’ experience and increase the safety of the air traffic control operations.
The second presentation, “Quad-redundant VCS architectures for nationwide ATC deployments”
will be held by Alexandru Negulescu, VCS Sales Director Rohde & Schwarz Topex, on 13th of March at 10:45.
Safe and efficient provisioning of Air Traffic Management Services have been always core focus for the aviation industry. Are years now since next generation architectures, such as Virtual Centers and Remote Towers are in operational use in various locations around the world. Further to just sharing resources or workload, leading Air Navigation Service Providers are currently moving towards new operational models that require even more resilience and allow for countrywide deployments. Quad redundant IP VCS architectures offer robust designs to enable One Center operations from two geo redundant locations, not only for the area control centers, but also for multiple (remote) towers.
